MLB Mobile Team Alerts

Product Overview
MLB Team alerts provides on-the-go, real-time baseball information (breaking news, live score updates, and more), to mobile baseball fans via text alerts for $3.99/month. The service launched in May 2005 in the U.S. and Canada, and is available for sign up through the MLB website (www.mlb.com/mobile) or from a mobile phone via text message.

How to Get Baseball Alerts:
• Logon to www.mlb.com/mobile and follow the instructions to select a favorite team and enter your phone number. Users may also follow
the instructions below on their mobile phone

• Enter your favorite team’s name as a text message (ex. Phillies)

• Send the text message to the shortcode 65246 (‘MLBGO’ on most phones)

• Fans are required to confirm they would like to opt-in to the program and receive instant confirmation of their subscription

• Alerts are launched to fans as they happen

• The monthly alert fee is charged to the fan’s mobile phone bill

• Fans can opt out at any time by texting the message ‘Quit’ to 65246
